"It just doesn't matter, what I think or what I do, I am just one person."  "It always matters, you matter."  "To who?"  "To me, for me."  "I am just One Person, I can't make a difference."  For more than 60 years you have made a difference, you have been the difference."  "You Matter."  "But to who?"  "Not who, to whom; your voice, your strength is The Power of One."

To be anonymous, invisible, un seen, un heard is likened to being rendered powerless.  A state of being equitable to nothingness.  Someone who has been led to believes that their value is and has no value is in a state of nothingness.  Yet even nothing is something.  If nothing wasn't something, then why are some many in fear of Nothing?  Why do so many fear, nothing?  There is nothing there, yet the fear of that nothing can create a climate for those in power to control and at the very worst, destroy that nothing.  How much would you spend on one speck of dust?  On one speck of lent?  As sexagenarians, and for many, grandparents our voices have become whispers, yet our pain mirrors the journey of a wave that begins in the middle of the ocean.

We must get our voices back, our eyes must remember images of a past that we never want to relive.  Certainly not for our grandchildren.  The Power of One, is a force so strong that it can change a people, a nation, a continent, a globe.  Is it You?  Haven't we seen enough of the last 6 decades?  Am I the only one who remembers, "Stop, Drop, and Roll?"  As if hiding under a desk in a nuclear attack could even be considered a safety measure?
